Comprehensive physical therapy helps stroke patients improve function and mobility.
The saying “one thing leads to another” rang true for Nancye Gologanoff when she was diagnosed with a blocked carotid artery. Nancye had a difficult time brushing her hair before her rehab at HealthSouth. During her surgical procedure to unblock the artery, Nancye suffered a series of strokes. The end result was loss of vision in the left section of each eye and limited mobility on her left side. Nancye’s husband, Christ, says a family history was likely a factor with Nancye having the strokes to begin with, that coupled with the complexity of the procedure itself.
